Sporting their new looks
Meet my first two clients.
Well, technically, they aren’t clients they’re free-loading shirt stealers. It’s still nice to see things that I made being happily worn by others.

Artscape 2007
So the beautiful city of Baltimore holds a festival of sorts every year, given the sacred name of Artscape. Inside this Scape of Arts, one can find many treasures of the fancy variety.
Essentially, Artscape is a giant outdoor festival including many things. Art, crafts, music, food, all being sold and exhibited or purchased by citizens of Maryland. (and from what I understand, some surrounding states as well) It was a pretty good time, as far as festivals are concerned. Some of the highlights were the outdoor sculptures, as well as the “art car” parade. I suggest that come Artscape 2008, if you’re anywhere near baltimore, you come check it out for yourself.
Also, pictures!

More shirts!
So this is attempt number two at screen printing. This one using the emulsion method. It does make for much much cleaner lines, and is a lot less painstaking to me. I need to get exposure time (and squeegee technique) down better, so my designs don’t look so cracked and faded, but I actually kind of like how this one turned out. Check it out for yourself!

Amazing!
Japanese electronics company, Samsung, sponsored this amazing card-flipping, human pixel animation dance. It may possibly be the coolest thing I have ever seen in my life. I cannot imagine how long it took to get this routine down.

First attempt at screen printing
Today I cracked open the screen printing gifts my girlfriend purchased me for my birthday and delved into the world of screens, inks, and squeegees.
I think for a first attempt, it was pretty successful. Kelsey and I both sport our brand new Panda Shirts!™
It’s a little rough, because I used a hand-drawn method using drawing fluid and screen filler. My hand isn’t the steadiest with a paintbrush, and the drawing fluid is much more watery than I anticipated, but I think it turned out well regardless.
Look out for my clothing line, coming soon!
