Two for the price of one
Continuing the summer treat advertisement theme, this time it is a popsicle. Also this time around, it’s got a slightly more horrific-but-cute quality.

Delicious
Summer time is drawing near. For me, that means ice cream, and lots of it! Combine that with my love of 60’s era illustrated product advertisements, and you get this faux advertisement! (fauxvertisement?)
Enjoy!

Never go THAT way!
So, I dunno what prompted it, but tonight I kept picturing and remembering the worm from labyrinth. He was always one of my favorite characters in the movie, brief as his scene may have been. It was just a cheerful, helpful little worm, who wanted nothing more than to have you “come inside, an’ meet the Misses.” That’s one the things I always loved about Henson movies, small one-shot or background characters that always stuck with you. Anyway, here’s my rendition of him. I drew it pretty much from memory, so don’t yell at me for not getting him quite right, I haven’t seen the movie in quite some time!

Con Recap
Comic con went really well! I sold about 35 of my comics, very unexpected. People seemed to be very receptive of it. I drew a bunch of (really bad) sketches. To anyone who got one… I’m sorry… I’ll do better next time.
Overall, people seemed pretty pleased with my comic and stickers. Lots of smiles and laughs, which is all I could ask for, really. Makes me kind of want to keep going with this instruction manual comic thing… STAY TUNED.

Destination: Comic-Con
Baltimore! This weekend I will be at Baltimore Comic-Con at a table in artist alley. I’ll be co-displaying with a friend and co-worker, Brad Samuelson, and his brother, who run Oddnik Comics. Also there with us will be Ben Woods, author of The Developers. I’ll be with stickers, as well as a brand new mini-comic How to Fight an Octopus. Be sure to come check it out, it’s sure to be very fun!
AWAAAAAAAY!
